On this Thursday, the 28th June, 2018, the Rwanda Polytechnic (RP) has inaugurated its first graduation where a number of 1882 graduates from eight Colleges (IPRC Gishari, IPRC Huye, IPRC Karongi, IPRC Kigali, IPRC Kitabi, IPRC Ngoma and IPRC Tumba) have been awarded Diploma and Advanced Diploma Certificates, the ceremony took place at IPRC Kigali stadium.
The Vice Chancellor of Rwanda Polytechnic, Dr. James GASHUMBA thanked all invitees to have answered the invitation positively and congratulated graduates on their achievements. He said, “It is very pleasant to have this great number of invitees with us today, Thank you very much our guest, thank you very much parents for coming! Congratulations to our graduates for your achievements.”
Dr. Eugene MUTIMURA the Minister of Education and the guest of honour has congratulated graduates and thanked all people raised up their contribution in order to help our graduates to accomplish their studies. He said, “The new graduates need to be innovators and entrepreneurs who inspire the entire Rwandan society and abroad.”
The Minister advised the graduates to use the skills attained from Rwanda Polytechnic and become good ambassadors of Rwanda Polytechnic. He also said “without technical institutions, a country development is impossible.” Here, he also said that our country has a duty to reinforce TVET system and it is in this regard RP is in place to help our country to implement this system.

Dr.Mutimura Eugene, minister of Education and Dr.James Gashumba, Vice Chancellor of Rwanda Polytechnic, awarding the best performer students of IPRC Kitabi, TUYISENGE Cedric as best performer student at IPRC Kitabi and UWIRAGIYE Jeannette as best performer female in RP. This was done during the Rwanda Polytechnic 1st graduation Ceremony on Thursday June 28th , 2018.
